Dosbarth Mrs Totterdale

Week 8.2.21

Hello everybody.

How are you all?  I hope you’re keeping safe.

This week I’ve chosen some transport activities for you to do.  Perhaps you can look out for different vehicles if you go for a walk.

You could try this online colouring activity:

Could you make a model of your favourite type of transport?  Look at the model James made this week, a rocket to go to the moon.

Have a great week!  I’ll see you all soon

Week 1.2.21

Story time!

Hello everyone!

How are you all?  I hope you’re keeping well and staying safe.  Has anything interesting happened this week?  We’re doing some work in our garden this week, which is a bit silly in the rain, but I’m hoping it will look lovely in the summer.

Look at Tyson enjoying the snow!

Have you noticed any spring flowers peeping through yet?  I can see some in the garden and the bulbs we planted in school are beginning to grow.

This week we’re going to think about rockets and space.  We found a lovely Cbeebies programme which you can watch to find out more.

I’ve added some craft activities too.  Why not make a rocket to shoot to the stars.

Week 25.1.21

Here is this week’s story for you to enjoy.

Hello everyone,

How are you all, we’re thinking of you all and love to see how you’re getting on. Send us an email TotterdaleA@hwbcymru.net

W had some lovely snow yesterday so Ben and I made a snowman.  He’s still there this morning, looking very cold!  Did you have any snow?  Show me what you did in the snow.

Last week we did a building challenge in school – perhaps you’d like to have a try at home. How strong is your spaghetti? What else could you build with, paper, lego, sweets? Show me your creations.

Have you been making any dens? Ben enjoys using all the cushions and blankets to make a place to hide away and read.

This made me think about the numberblocks – you could practise your numbers whilst building.

Week 18.1.21

Hi everyone.  I hope you are all keeping safe and having some fun at home.

This week I would like you to concentrate on your sentences.  Practise making funny sentences and talking about what is happening.  I am loading up some pictures to look at, or you can talk about what is happening in a book or on TV.  Try to link words together, like “The boy is eating an apple”.

Have you been watching CBBC bitesize?  We found some fun programmes about the Funnybones books that we enjoyed before Christmas.  Maybe you’d like to have a look at some of them:

Week 11.01.21

This week we’ll think all about winter. I’m still hoping it will snow for us!
I’ve put some winter challenges up – see how many you can do. Don’t worry about the ones which are for Christmas! We’re thinking about the weather and the seasons this time.

Have a good week, let me know if there’s anything I can do to help.

Happy New Year!

I hope you had a lovely Christmas, I’m looking forward to hearing all about it.  We’ve been very lucky here in Seven Sisters and had a little bit of snow.  I don’t know if any of you had some?  There wasn’t enough to build a snowman this time, hopefully we’ll get some more.

This week I’m going to put a few activities for you to try on Thursday and Friday.  I want to save our new topic till we’re all together because it’s going to be so much fun, so we’ll concentrate on our letters and numbers, and carry on looking at the weather – just in case we get snow!

Please let me know how I can help your home learning, this is very strange for all of us.
