We as a school have been made aware of a social media craze, in which children are running full force into their peers from behind causing serious injuries.

I must stress this has not happened in our school; however, we would like to remind parents that children of a primary school age are not permitted to use social media.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we need to cancel the afterschool Christmas Activities (Supper with Santa / Christmas Movie Night) for next week. Any money already paid will be returned ASAP.

We will be still be attending the school trip to Ystradgynlais Welfare Hall to watch Paddington 2 next Thursday. This trip will free of charge (Nursery children will have a Christmas Movie morning in class.)

The children will also be undertaking class Christmas activities and parties throughout the week.

Unfortunately, the heating in our Cribarth building (LSC1 and Year 2/3/4) has broken down this afternoon and will not be fixed by tomorrow morning.

We are very fortunate, that we have rooms available in our Hirfynydd building (LSC2 and Year 4/5/6), that Mrs Totterdale’s class and Mrs Jones’ class will be able to use, to ensure no learning will be missed

Please could Mrs Jones’ children be dropped off at the top yard tomorrow morning. The LSC children will be collected from the taxi as normal.

The children will still use their usual playgrounds at break time.

We will keep you updated on the status of the works tomorrow, as well as where the children should be collected from.

We will be selling Christmas Concert tickets at the end of the school today by the main reception.

Just a reminder of our concert times:

Nursery, Reception and Year 1 – Wednesday 11th December @ 10:00am.

Year 2/3/4 and LSC1 and Year 4/5/6 and LSC2 – Wednesday 11th December 1:30pm and 5:00pm.

Tickets are £2 each with 2 tickets per family available at the moment. Additional tickets may be available in due course.
